He came to Singapore in 2011 to help create the Sustainable Earth Office (SEO) to lead NTU's Sustainable Earth Peak (2011-2015) and Sustainable Earth (2016-2019) initiatives. As planned, SEO closed in 2019, and William continues to play a consulting role at NTU in the creation and planning of the university's new sustainability projects.
